Zimbabwean food quality and monitoring expert, Ellina Fanizani Chakawodza, celebrated World Food Safety Day this year by conducting “food handler education” with food business people around her, sharing “how we can always remain prepared and be able to control any food incidences that may arise during production.” She was motivated, she said “by the lack of knowledge on what food safety is in many food service businesses.”

Chakawodza has said she aims to promote World Food Safety Day every year “to see food safety being incorporated in school learning curriculums globally."
