Presidential Regulation of the R.I. No. 16 of 2015 concerning the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. - Repealed

This Presidential Regulation, consisting of 64 articles, creates the Ministry of Environment and Forests. It establishes the composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Ministry, entitled to organize governmental affairs in the field of environment and forestry; formulate policies in the field of sustainable forests and environmental conservation, management of conservation of natural resources and their ecosystems, enhancement of watershed support capacity and protection forests, sustainable management of forestry production, enhance the competitiveness of primary forest product industry, environment, pollution control and environmental damage, climate change impact control, forest and land fire control, social forestry and partnership as well as the reduction of damages, threats, and violations of environmental and forestry legislation, etc.

This Presidential Regulation repeals: a) All provisions concerning the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Forestry in Presidential Regulations No. 24 of 2010 on Position, Duty and Function of State Ministry and Organizational Structure, amended by Presidential Regulation No. 135 of 2014; b) Presidential Regulation No. 165/1954 on the Arrangement of Tasks and Functions of the Working Cabinet regulating the Ministry of Environment and Forestry; c) Presidential Regulation No. 62 of 2013 on the Agency for Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Management from Deforestation, Forest Degradation and Peat Land.
