The idea of the new Term Portal is to offer a container or one-stop system for searching all terminology databases and glossaries. We include here the first terminology database (FAOTERM), the Names of Countries and Territories database (NOCS), as well as the thematic glossaries jointly developed by the Meeting Programming...
This database consists of names of countries and territories, as well as adjectives of nationality, capital cities and currency units in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Italian, Russian and Spanish. The designations used in this database follow or are based on UN practice.
