Members of the FFS global platform can:
- Create and edit their member profile.
- Submit resources on Field Schools for upload on the FFS knowledge repository;
- Check the full profiles of experts registered in the Expert Roster, including their contact details and references;
- Register as 'FFS expert' and have their member profile published in the ‘Expert roster’ page.
Once registered, a message with your credentials will be sent to the email address provided. Remember to check the spam folder.

Agreement
1. By using the FFS platform, you acknowledge and agree that these General Terms and Conditions and other terms that may be displayed to you at the time you first use certain features (as may be amended by FAO from time to time) shall apply, including in connection with the processing of any personal data you may make available through the FFS platform. If you do not agree to these General Terms and Conditions, please do not click “Register”.
Disclaimer and liability
2. The FFS expert roster is hosted and managed by FAO. Although the database is hosted by FAO, the website contains data and information created by various Field School professionals. As such, FAO does not directly verify the quality of professionals on the roster. The information displayed reflects the experts’ self-declared skills and experience.
3. The information displayed on the platform expresses the views of their author(s) and not necessarily that of FAO.
4. The User bear the sole responsibility and risk for their access to and use of the contents of third party information and are responsible for independently verifying the accuracy and completeness of all data, information and contents of the Platform.
5. Under no circumstances shall FAO, or its affiliates, or any of their respective agents, employees, information providers or content providers be responsible or liable to any user or anyone else for any inaccuracy, error, omission, deletion, defect, alteration of or use of any content herein, or for its timeliness or completeness, nor shall they be liable for any failure of performance, computer virus or communication line failure, regardless of cause, or for damages of any kind arising out of use, reference to, or reliance on any information contained within the Roster.
6. FAO shall not be responsible for any entries that are not received due to internet or software failures.
7. Hyperlinks to external sites do not represent an endorsement by the FAO of material of such sites, or any associated organization, private sector, product or service. FAO is not responsible for such external internet sites and makes no warranty, either express or implied, as to the accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of their content.
8. The designations employed in this Directory do not imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of the FAO concerning the legal status of any country, territory, city or area or of its authorities, or concerning the delimitation of its frontiers or boundaries.
Copyrights
9. This platform may contain materials from copyrighted publications of the respective copyright claimants. All copyrighted material and/or other proprietary information is protected by copyright laws and regulations worldwide.
10. The User is responsible for seeking legal advice regarding copyright laws prior to the use of certain material contained in this platform.
Access
11. When submitting data, the User will be required to submit some personal information, including name, surname, address, telephone number, email address, and area of expertise.
12. FAO reserves the right to verify the User’s eligibility or that of any entry (including identity and address) and to not publish or to remove any User who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. By submitting entries to the global FFS platform, the User agrees that his personal data, may be processed, shared, and otherwise used for the purposes and within the context of the global FFS platform and any other purposes outlined in these General Terms and Conditions.
13. FAO reserves the right at any time, and from time to time, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the global FFS platform, including any means of accessing or utilizing it, at its sole discretion with or without prior notice to users.
14. FAO may, at its sole discretion, under any circumstances, for any or no reason whatsoever and with or without prior notice to users, terminate any user’s access to the global FFS platform, including to any means of accessing or utilizing it.
Responsibilities of the User
15. When registering as a member of the global FFS platform, the User acknowledges and agrees :
- to comply with all applicable laws, including, without limitation, privacy laws, intellectual property laws, anti-spam laws;
- not to enter data for anyone else other than himself;
- not to create a false identity, or misrepresent his identity, affiliation with a person or entity, past or present, or his current or previous positions and qualifications;
- to be responsible for independently verifying the accuracy and completeness of all data, information and contents of the Platform;
- not to publicly represent or imply that FAO is participating in, or has sponsored, approved or endorsed the manner or purpose of the User’s use of the platform.
Privileges and Immunities
16. Nothing contained in or related to these Terms and Conditions shall be deemed a waiver, express or implied, of the privileges and immunities of FAO, or as its acceptance of the jurisdiction of the courts of any country over disputes arising out of these Terms and Conditions or any other document related thereto.
Use of FAO name, emblem and logo
17. The official name, emblem and logo of FAO, shall not be used, under any circumstances, without FAO's prior written consent.
