54. Upon the suggestion of the Chairman, a Nominations Committee was established, composed of Bolivia, Mexico, Uruguay, the Chairman and the first Vice-Chairman, to propose to the plenary the officers for the next session and the Commission's Representative at the Regional Latin American Aquaculture Centre (Pirassununga, Brazil). The Nominations Committee proposed Bolivia as Chairman, and Mexico and Venezuela as first and second Vice-Chairmen respectively.
55. The proposal of the Nominations Committee was unanimously agreed upon.
56. The Nominations Committee proposed Colombia to represent the Commission at the Advisory Council of the Regional Latin American Aquaculture Centre. After an exchange of views on the functions and responsibilities of this representative, the proposal was accepted.
