| RESUMEN |
| Se presenta el informe final de la cuarta reunión de la Comisión de Pesca Continental para América Latina, celebrada en la Habana, Cuba del 20 al 25 de enero de 1986. Los principales temas tratados se refieren a: (1) avances realizados durante el período entre reuniones; (2) recursos pesqueros de lagos y rios; (3) actividades del Centro Regional Latinoamericano de Acuicultura; (4) artes y métodos de pesca artisanal en aguas continentales; (5) utilización y mercadeo del pescado y (6) medidas complementarias de la Conferencia Mundial de la FAO sobre Ordenación y Desarrollo Pesqueros. Conjuntamente a la cuarta reunión se celebró una reunión técnica sobre acuicultura extensiva en estanques y pequeños embalses. Las listas de los participantes y observadores, de los documentos y de las principales decisiones y recomendaciones de la reunión están incluidas como apendices. |
| ABSTRACT |
| The final formal report of the Fourth Session of the Commission for Inland Fisheries of Latin America, held in Havana, Cuba, from 20 to 25 January 1986, is presented. Major topics discussed during the session refer to: (1) progress achieved during the intersessional period, (2) fishery resources in lakes and rivers; (3) activities of the Regional Latin American Aquaculture Centre; (4) fishing gears and methods for artisanal fisheries in continental waters; (5) fish utilization and marketing, and (6) follow-up to the FAO World Conference on Fisheries Management and Development. A minisymposium on extensive aquaculture in ponds and small reservoirs was held in conjunction with the Fourth Session. The lists of delegates and observers, of documents and of main decisions and recommendations of the Session are given in annexes. |
