3. CULTIVATION OF MIXED SPECIES

The highest importance is attached to the following problems regarding the cultivation of mixed species:

  1. the solution of questions related to the biotechnological conditions of stock rearing (also in the cultivation of commercial fish in polyculture or in special monocultures - cage rearing);

  2. constant improvement of feeding methods with a view to economizing in feeds, reduction of the feeding period and improvement of the quality of commercial fish meat;

  3. Prevention of diseases and the development of methods to combat the main bacterial and contagious diseases in intensive culture;

  4. initiation of selection work in the cultivation of mixed species.
