This research site is located in Montpellier, France, on the campus of Cirad (Centre de coopération internationale en recherche agronomique pour le développement). Some of the research aims include efficient production and harvest and lipid extraction and characterization. The white culture tanks (raceways) can be seen in the background of the picture, along with the harvesting apparatus (towers in the centre of the photo).
