New analysis on the cost of climate change adaptation for fisheries is out

This new analysis, commissioned by FAO, assesses the adaptation finance gap for fisheries including safety at sea. The adaptation finance gap for fisheries and aquaculture is estimated at approximately USD 4.5 billion/year for developing countries. This is one of the highest adaptation finance gaps of any sector. This indicates a significant finance shortfall and that a significant increase in adaptation finance flows for fisheries and aquaculture is required.
