Food security and nutrition for all

Implementation

For countries to translate their policies and investment plans into action, they need to mobilize more financial resources and use these effectively to generate a real impact on the wellbeing of their peoples. They also need to upgrade the capacity of their institutions to deliver those services that will turn their policies and investment plans into reality.

The role of FAO lies in providing support to governments to first assess their financing needs and their existing resources. Second, FAO assists countries in mapping out how to mobilize more resources so they can meet SDG2 and the Organization continues to assist governments in tracking resource flows. Countries are also turning to FAO to help them monitor how well these resources are used (efficiency) and how much of a difference is recorded in the lives of the people as a result (impact).
