Policy coherence enhances agrifood systems transformation in Viet Nam

A newly released brief by the FAO, "Policymaking for agrifood systems transformation in Viet Nam", highlights policy processes and good practices in transforming the country's agrifood systems. 

The brief examines Viet Nam's agrifood policies, including the National Action Plan on Food Systems Transformation. The country is taking steps to ensure that policies across various sectors and programmes are well-aligned to avoid overlaps, duplication and confusion.  Additionally, Viet Nam is engaging multiple stakeholders at all levels to foster a shared vision, support the implementation of on-the-ground actions, and enhance policy coherence. 

The brief encourages policymakers to consider systemic priorities that extend beyond their specific sectors, promoting more effective and efficient policy outcomes.
