PRIVATE SECTOR CONSULTATION

In the context of preparations for the High-Level Conference on World Food Security and the Challenges of Climate Change and Bioenergy, FAO seeks participation of a wide range of private sector participants with a strong interest in the projected impacts on food security of climate change and increasing use of bioenergy. These include, inter alia, representatives from the agriculture, transport and energy sectors who may be concerned with issues such as climate-related risks for business, the emergence of a carbon market, or opportunities for new investment in agriculture, technology and rural landscapes.

Participation in this stakeholder consultation is open to interested private sector representatives and attendance is free of charge, although space is limited. Please note that FAO cannot provide financial support for participants to travel to Rome or other costs incurred to attend the private sector stakeholder consultation.
