FFF pays respects to Alfredo Cú Poou whose contributions to the establishment of the Rural School of Agroforestry Business will be remembered for years to come. May his legacy continue to inspire and guide future generations in the pursuit of sustainable agriculture and forestry practices.

The call is open to regional and global organizations, networks, unions, associations, cooperatives or alliances of forest users, smallholder farmers, women, communities and Indigenous Peoples. There will be ten grants for regional organizations up to USD50,000 and one grant for an international association of max USD100,000. Deadline for submission February 19.

With a scope of preserving ancestral indigenous knowledge in times of deforestation, Mayangna Indigenous Women in Nicaragua, with Territorial Women Leaders of Mesoamerica and healers assembled 40 native plant recipes in this new book published by the Mesoamerican Alliance of People and Forests.
Despite existing vulnerabilities, forest communities have shwon a great deal of resilience in the face of COVID-19 crisis. This FAO working paper identifies seven key pathways and 14 strategic actions for forest communities to recover and building back better from COVID-19.
