Regional climate change workshops, projects and co-operation

FAO supports regional co-operation on forests and climate change issues as well as development of regional forest and climate change projects.

Regional workshop in Near East region, Cairo, Egypt 20-22 September 2011

The aim of the workshop was to take stock of national efforts on climate change adaptation and identify the most urgent priorities for national actions. Furthermore to identify key regional cooperative actions that would enhance national efforts on forests and climate change adaptation and develop a project proposal(s) for a regional or sub-regional project(s). Finally possible funding sources for forests and climate change adaptation projects in the region was explored.
