Connecting forestry minds: youth and leaders dialogue at the 9th World Forest Week

The Connecting forestry minds: youth and leaders dialogue at WFW 2024 will provide a space for young foresters to participate in exchange of experiences and connect, and hold an enriching dialogue with the FAO Deputy Director-General Maurizio Martina, Director of the Forestry Division, Mr Zhimin Wu with Deputy Directors Ms Tiina Vahanen and Mr Ewald Rametsteiner, to share some of the impact that youth contribute to forestry.  

This dialogue, in a meet and greet format, will kick off with youth sharing their takeaways of the main points that were discussed during COFO and the WFW. Key messages from the forestry-themed Youth Assembly with the World Food Forum will be shared as well. Young professionals will have a chance to briefly share their work and showcase how they are contributing to FAO’s mandate in key areas addressed at COFO.
