每年，约3.4亿至3.7亿公顷的土地遭受野火侵袭。

为应对这一挑战，必须变被动响应为主动，通过综合火灾管理实现以预防为主的主动措施。

2023年5月，第八届国际野火大会召开。会上，粮农组织和联合国环境规划署联合启动了全球火灾管理中心，旨在汇聚合作伙伴，加强各国的综合火灾管理能力，从而降低野火对生计、景观和全球气候的影响。

全球火灾管理中心的一大核心使命是通过将科技与本地和传统知识相结合，实现科技和社会创新，从而提升社区对野火的抵御能力。

活动将着重探讨创新解决方案和合作，以更有效、更可持续地进行火灾管理。

活动还将介绍全球火灾管理中心的背景和现有进展，并为政府、国际组织和原住民网络的代表提供讨论平台，共同确定综合火灾管理全球路径。

目标

• 集结全球火灾管理中心的主要合作伙伴，讨论如何推广复制综合性倡议、经验和知识。
• 理解在火灾管理战略中融入原住民、本地知识持有者的见解以及科学进展的重要性。
• 促进合作并分享最佳实践，以提升全球对野火的抵御能力，降低野火对社区和环境的影响。
