Asia and Africa regional Groups have submitted two resolutions for the 37th FAO Conference

H.E Wilfred Ngirwa, the Chairperson of Africa Group, informed the G77 Members that a recommendation to set up a Dr. Jacques Diouf Food Security award was raised during the last Africa Regional Conference. He called for the G77 support on this regard at the Conference.

Another call for support came from Asia Group on their advocacy for “2014 International year of family farming”. A draft resolution is submitted to the 37 Conference for the approval.
Both resolutions will be discussed in the G77 plenary on 24 June 2011.
