Presenters of the webinar

  • Patricia Mejias Moreno, Land and Water Division, FAO
  • Vinay Nangia, International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas – ICARDA

Participants

  • Experts: especially practitioners facing drought and irregular rain patters; experts in sustainable irrigation,
  • Practitioners from civil society organizations working on climate change and food systems,
  • Organizations: Development organizations, and members of the Global Alliance for Climate-Smart Agriculture (GACSA), and
  • Members of the communities facilitated by FAO (DGroup and the LinkedIn group).

With the acquired knowledge and peer support through the online community of practice, the practitioners will be better able to identify climate change-related challenges and climate-smart responses for irrigated agriculture and eventually support farmers to get prepared for climate change and addressing it in their work for ensuring food security.
