FAO Dimitra Clubs in the fight against COVID19

Since the onset of COVID-19 pandemic, the Dimitra Clubs have been mobilizing their members and communities to adopt protection measures as well as to undertake initiatives to secure rural livelihoods.

The Dimitra Clubs’ approach is implemented by FAO in several countries of sub-Saharan Africa. It is considered a flagship model to facilitate community empowerment and social cohesion with a strong gender perspective.
