Women: key to achieving food and nutrition security in Cambodia

FAO, WFP and UN Women produced this joint video. These agencies are working to improve women’s situation in Cambodia. The video is about women’s contributions in the agriculture sector in Cambodia. Cambodian rural women are involved in every aspect of the food chain, from agricultural production to post-harvesting processing and marketing. They are also central to family food security and nutrition, as they are generally responsible for food selection and preparation and for the care and feeding of their children. They raise and care for domestic animals, collect fuel, wood and drinking water. In food markets, women are the predominant sellers while men are the hunters, catchers, and planters.
