Scholarships available for Masters’ of Agricultural Water Management Engineering or Biotechnology in Hungary

Deadline for applications for the 2023-24 programme: 28 February 2023

Applications are now being accepted by the FAO-Hungarian Government Scholarship Programme. Two scholarships are available for two-year post-graduate study in fields such as biotechnology or water management for promising students from developing and middle-income countries.

Now in its fifteenth consecutive year, the Hungary-sponsored FAO scholarship programme offers young professionals the opportunity to widen and deepen their knowledge. Those accepted to the programme will pursue studies at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences in Budapest.

The scholarship covers application and tuition fees, basic books, dormitory accommodation, subsistence costs, and health insurance.

Deadline for submitting applications is 28 February 2023, for the academic year starting in autumn 2023.

Throughout the history of the programme, many young professionals benefitted from the FAO-Hungary scholarship. Upon return to their home countries, their degrees helped them succeed in finding jobs and entering into their careers. They also have access to a global professional network of their fellow scholars and their professors.

Nationals of the following countries and territories, who also reside in their countries, are eligible to apply for the programme:
