ENPARD Georgia, Moldova and Armenia Exchange Experience

On 26-28 September 2016, ENPARD study tour, involving ENPARD Georgia, ENPARD Moldova and ENPARD Armenia,was organised by the EU Delegation to Armenia and the FAO Office in Yerevan.

The delegations from Georgia and Moldova comprised 16 participants – representatives of both countries’ agricultural ministries, line agencies, ENPARD partner international and local NGOs, and farmer associations.

In the scope of the study tour, ENPARD Georgia and Moldova missions met with their counterparts in Armenia. Within the exchange of experience the guests visited the ENPARD project sites in different regions of Armenia.

The three day programme involved the visits to a number of EU supported projects: Dprabak herbs production cooperative, Tsovagyugh buckwheat production and processing plant, MerSarer Holding honey production, highvalue cheese production cooperative, organic agriculture cooperative.

In addition, Armenian, Georgian and Moldovan colleagues participated in ENPARD stakeholders meeting, and in informal meetings with Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO),United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Organic Agricultural Support Initiative (OASI) projects. A meeting was also held with the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia.
