FAO Representative in Georgia Raimund Jehle and Assistant Representative Mamuka Meskhi met Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania.
 
After Raimund Jehle presented his credentials to the Deputy Minister, the discussion that followed focused on the implementation of the FAO projects in Georgia and on the prospects of further co-operation between Georgia and FAO. The Georgian side highlighted the fruitful co-operation between UN agencies, including FAO, and the Georgian government.   
 
Raimund Jehle then stated that FAO would continue to support the policies and projects of the Georgian Government directed towards the development of agriculture in Georgia.

Later FAO representatives met the Minister of Agriculture Otar Danelia and discussed the Country Partnership Framework (CPF) which will be signed by the Georgian Government and FAO in the near future.
