A second Advisory Group 13 on Land Cover and Land Use (LCLU) was held on December 1st, 2021, by FAO and ISO TC211. Over 25 organization from the world including ISO, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), European Space Agency (ESA), The Permanent Interstate Committee for Drought in Sahel (CILSS), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), EIONET Action Group on Land monitoring in Europe (EAGLE), World Resources Institute (WRI), National Institute for Space Research of Brazil (INPE), The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), Joint Research Centre (JRC), National Research Council (CNR) - Italy, International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) participated to the meeting.  Advisory Group 13 on Land Cover and Land Use captures user requirements and provide feedback before proceeding with a work to generate outreach resources. The objective of this meeting was to raise awareness of the importance of Land Cover and Land Use and collect input on describing the challenges of promoting, developing, and implementing the related standards, and furthermore to inform ISO/TC211 activities on LCLU, and to open a dialogue for collaboration and communication between ISO/TC211 and other organisations.
