From September 29 to October 7, a technical training will support developing capacities for land degradation monitoring in Uruguay. The technical training will particularly focuses on the use of the SEPAL platform and tools for Remote Sensing assessment for SDG 15.3.1 (Proportion of land that is degraded over total land area). Professionals from the Ministry of Housing and Land Use Planning, the Ministry of Livestock and Agriculture and the Ministry of the Environment will be participating and acquiring new capacities on innovative technologies for remote sensing assessment and monitoring. The training will include theoretical and practical presentations, question-and-answer sessions, as well as hands-on practices. Open discussions, polls and a final evaluation of the training will be also conducted.
