Ukraine cancels wheat export licenses and suspends exports of nitrogen fertilizers

On 1 July 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution 759, which cancels wheat and meslin export licenses, lifts an export ban on oats and introduces export licenses and suspends exports of mineral and chemical nitrogen fertilizers.  Resolution 759 was introduced as an amendment to annexes one and five of Resolution 1424 of 29 December 2021, which established an approved list of goods whose export and import were subject to licensing and quotas in 2022. 

In early March 2022, the Government of Ukraine had suspended the export of some food products, including barley, buckwheat, oats, meat, millet, rapeseed, rye, salt and sugar, and introduced exports licensing requirements for wheat and meslin, maize, poultry, eggs and sunflower oil (see FPMA Policy).
