Belarus extends ban on grain exports

On 23 September 2022, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus adopted Resolution 636, providing for a new six-month extension to the previously introduced temporary ban on the export of wheat and meslin, rye, barley, oats, maize, buckwheat, millet, triticale and other cereals, as well as rapeseed and sunflower seeds. The ban had been initially introduced on 26 August 2021 for six months, and extended on 11 March 2022 for a second semester (FPMA Policy).

The ban does not apply to goods exported for international humanitarian aid, as well as transit shipments.
