30/06/2015,

As of mid-June 2015, the Government of Indonesia has the authority to cap prices of staple foods and other basic goods during peak demand periods including the month of Ramadan. The measure is aimed at ensuring price stability through setting prices in response to periods of price volatility. Earlier this year, prices of rice (the main staple) reached a record high however, they have since fallen slightly.
