05/05/2017,

The Russian and Turkish Governments agreed to lift simultaneously all restrictions on food trade between the two countries, effective immediately. The agreement includes re-allowing imports of Russian wheat to Turkey, its second biggest customer after Egypt, while Russian restrictions on imports of Turkish tomatoes and some other agricultural produce will remain in place for another three to five years. The Government of Turkey had suspended duty-free imports on Russian agricultural products, including wheat, on 15 March (FPMA Food Policies).
