The Global Soil Partnership advocates to strengthen soil governance at global, national and local levels to safeguard soils from chemical, biological, and physical threats while supporting the development of new frameworks and policies that fit the current socio-economic landscape. To ensure that policymakers and governments are fully aware of soil and ecosystem services and include them in policy frameworks, the GSP has launched the SoilEX platform, a global database that aims to facilitate access to information on existing legal instruments on soil protection and the prevention of soil degradation.
