On the 23rd of October 2020 – representing FAO’s “Climate Change Adaptation in Wetland Areas in Lao PDR" (CAWA) project, Dr. Kevin Jeanes and Mr. Chanthaphone Thammavong were invited to speak about the importance of wetlands for food security and climate change adaptation in Laos at the Lao Youth Radio, one of the most famous radio stations for the young and young-at-heart listeners in Laos.
The interview was podcasted on both social media and radio and several thousands of people tuned in. Dr. Kevin Jeanes, Chief Technical Advisor of the CAWA project, is pleased with many people listening and gaining some knowledge about wetlands, understanding how they are important for the rural communities regarding food security and climate change adaptation.
