Climate Change Adaptation in the Eastern Caribbean Fisheries Sector

Regional training in Fisheries Statistic and damage & loss assessment in Trinidad

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) under the Climate Change project (CC4FISH), financially supported by the Global Environment Fund (GEF) is organizing a regional training in fisheries statistics in Trinidad from 13 to 18 January 2020. It aims to reinforce national capacity to monitor fishing activities and provide a damage and loss baseline data.

Representatives from Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica and Grenada are expected to attend. Suriname representatives will be attending with to the additional financial support of the Reduction of By Catch in the Latin America and The Caribbean project (REBYC II LAC).
