Objective / Goal The objective of the project was to protect and rehabilitate livelihoods for the vulnerable population at risk of hunger and malnutrition through appropriate food and agriculture response in 5 drought affected provinces.

Activities

This Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) project provided of integrated emergency assistance to cover the urgent needs of the affected vulnerable population by the drought related to food security, agriculture and livestock.

The outputs of the project were:

  • Output 1:  42 500 rural drought-affected households received food assistance.
  • Output 2: 7 000 livestock-dependent families affected by drought received concentrated livestock feed, deworming and fodder seed.
  • Output 3: 7 000 drought affected farming families received certified wheat seed along quality fertilizers and vegetables seed.
