| Activities | The main activities of the project consisted of the procurement and distribution of inputs. The project procured 70 tonnes each of wheat seed, diammonium phosphate (DAP) and urea fertilizers for the spring 2009 planting season in Samangan province. An additional 573 tonnes each of wheat seed, DAP and urea fertilizers were procured for the autumn 2009 planting season in Faryab and Jawzjan provinces. Each beneficiary household received a package of wheat seed, di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) and urea fertilizers (50 kg each) for the cultivation of 2 jeribs (0.4 ha) of irrigated land. |
