Today, on day 20 of the Indian Ocean expedition, the scientists and crew of the Nansen arrived safely in Port Louis, Mauritius. After a busy three weeks at sea, all onboard are ready for a rest on land.
The vessel will leave Port Louis, Mauritius for its second leg of the journey on Saturday, 18 July and the survey will end in Durban, South Africa on 6 August. We will be blogging from the second leg of the journey, and hope that you’ll join us as we continue our research aboard the Nansen.
Congratulations to the Nansen crew – we look forward to the findings from the first leg of the trip, and look forward to climbing back on board for the journey to South Africa. Join us!
