The naming ceremony of the new R/V Dr Fridtjof Nansen is approaching

On 24 March 2017, the new research vessel R/V Dr. Fridtjof Nansen owned by Norway and deployed in developing countries in partnership with FAO and IMR, will be officially launched in the course of a naming ceremony at the presence of a number of Ministers and Directors from partner countries.
The launch follows a two months trial at sea testing equipment in view of the first survey that will leave Casablanca in May 2017.
