FAO and Türkiye collaborate to strengthen International Forestry Training Center

Final preparations have been completed for implementation of the project "Enhancing the Capacity of the Turkish International Forestry Training Centre". The project, developed under the FAO-Türkiye Forestry Partnership Programme will establish an internationally recognised training hub to provide capacity building in forestry through vocational training.

The project aims to increase the capacity of the existing International Forestry Training Centre in Antalya, Türkiye, which is currently focusing on forest fire management by enriching its training curricula with gender-sensitive content and using case studies to illustrate best practices. The project has a budget of USD 1,000,000. Over 36 months, it will target the needs in the forestry sector formulated by Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
