What is FAPDA?
The Food and Agriculture Policy Decision Analysis (FAPDA) is a FAO initiative that aims to promote evidence-based decision making by providing up-to-date information on national policy decisions and policy frameworks, through the FAPDA policy database.
The FAPDA initiative was launched in 2008 within the framework of the Initiative on Soaring Food Prices (ISFP). The overall policy monitoring exercise was to provide technical advice to FAO member countries to mitigate the food security crisis.
In 2010, the FAPDA policy database was developed to provide worldwide access to policy information.
