The Forest and Landscape Restoration Mechanism (FLRM) team initiated its support to the review of Vanuatu’s forest and landscape restoration strategy (FLRS) in October 2019 and organized in February 2020 a two-day workshop to validate the possible improvements to the strategy and meet the partners involved in this initiative.

Following up on this workshop the Vanuatu Department of Forests, FAO Vanuatu and the FLRM team revised and updated the Vanuatu FLRS and organized a second validation workshop to showcase the result of this work to a larger group of stakeholders. This meeting will be the occasion for the group to validate and include suggestions to the key elements of the FLRS with the purpose to reach a final version.
