As part of the project "The Paris Agreement in Action: upscaling forest and landscape restoration to achieve Nationally Determined Contributions" funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), FAO is organizing a French-language capacity building training on green and climate finance for countries in the West African subregion to develop green climate fund projects that aim to restore degraded forest landscapes on 7-11 June 2021.

The objectives of the training are to build a good understanding of the Green Climate Fund, including its vision and mission, and terms and opportunities for accessing funding.

The training will be held in a mixed format; trainers will be remote and participants will be face-to-face in each of the participating countries.
