The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), with the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), and the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA) have organized an interactive webinar “Green growth: Strategies and Actions to shift towards Sustainable Food System in the Mediterranean Region” on 12 September 2023 from 9.30-11.00 CEST. Led by The One Planet Network’s Sustainable Food Systems Mediterranean platform (SFS-MED Platform), the purpose of this webinar is to promote the discussion and awareness on the challenges and opportunities in greening agrifood systems in the Mediterranean region. It will showcase practical examples of sustainable food production and consumption practices, as well as discussing the role of advanced technologies, innovative policies and finance involvement to promote green growth throughout the region. 

In addition, this webinar will showcase the importance in addressing sustainability obstacles in the Mediterranean agrifood systems that are crucial for environmental protection, socio-economic developments and food security.
