In 2018, a game-changing event took place that breathed new life into old land: the first cohort of the Land Accelerator brought together entrepreneurs from seven countries across Africa. The magic will happen again in 2019 from September 7-12 in Nairobi, hosted by the World Resources Institute and Fledge. The program is free to attend and takes no equity. Also, travel costs will be covered.

The Land Accelerator is an action-packed 6-day program to train and mentor entrepreneurs from across Africa, including business education and technical lectures, and ending with a Demo Day where participants will pitch to prospective investors. You should apply if:

• You are working to improve a degraded landscape in Africa through a business approach.  This includes climate-smart agriculture, sustainable forestry, reforestation, non-timber forest products, and similar activities
• You are interested in raising money for your venture
• You want to learn fast, both in the classroom and by connecting with mentors and other entrepreneurs

The application deadline is Monday, July 8. Applications are welcome in English and French and can be completed in as little as 10 minutes on F6S (you will need to register using your email or social media). We will select 15 applicants. Here’s a taste of what’s to come.
