This session will present the key findings of an assessment of FLR projects, tools and methodologies, developed by FAO, IKI-BMU and their partners, and their role in supporting the climate change adaptation and mitigation agendas. It will discuss lessons learned from the actual and potential of restoration to provide a solution pathway to reduce risk and increase environmental, social and economic resilience to climate change. The session will close with present recommendations for decision-makers to consider FLR as a key element in transformative change for both policy and investments related to restoration and climate change.
