Monitoring Framework and Indicators

The Forest-Water Monitoring Framework was developed in consultation with forest-water experts from a variety of professional fields, organizations and regions. The aim of this process was to identify the key indicators and sub-indicators that are best suited to monitor forest-water interactions taking into account biophysical, political and socio-economic factors.

The resulting framework consists of six over-arching quantitative and qualitative indicators, 20 sub-indicators and 69 variables. For the complete monitoring framework please click here.
