Year published: 2017

Monthly prices for about 600 fish products and an overview of the major trends on the European market, reported by an extensive correspondent network.

March 2017.

Abstract:

Seafood sales are generally low during this period of the year, but there has been a return of some buying interest in preparation for the week before Easter, “Holy Week”, when seafood consumption increases sharply in Catholic areas of the continent. Prices overall are stable, with the exception of some upward movement in prices for cod products, which have been impacted by a several month long strike in Iceland that continued up until the end of February.
