16/05/2024

The Regional Learning Cycle "Lessons Learned for Investment in the Delimitation and Recognition of Indigenous and Afro-descendant Territories in Latin America" was organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Land Coalition (ILC), and the Tenure Facility (TF).

Five thematic webinars were held between June and October 2023, based on the systematization of 23 investment experiences in the delimitation and recognition of rights across nine countries. These sessions were attended by more than 100 people, including members of Indigenous Peoples and Afro-descendant organizations, government entities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), bilateral or multilateral cooperation institutions, research centers, and academia.

This report has been prepared to document the main findings, recommendations, and lessons learned from the regional learning cycle "Lessons Learned for Investment in the Delimitation and Recognition of Indigenous and Afro-descendant Territories in Latin America," organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Land Coalition in Latin America and the Caribbean (ILC LAC), and the Tenure Facility (TF).
