This report presents the findings of the short project PFL/ZAM/003/PFL: ?Constraints Analysis Of The Post-Production Sector In Zambia? undertaken between April and August 1997 by a multidisciplinary team of international and national consultants as follows: Mr R A Boxall Team Leader and International Consultant in Post-Harvest Technology Mr Aleksander Zaremba International Consultant, Agricultural Sociologist Ms Juliana Rwelamira International Consultant, Agricultural Economics Dr Nicholas Kwendkwema National Consultant in Post-Harvest Technology Mrs Diana Banda National Consultant, Agricultural Sociologist Dr Emmanuel Musaba National Consultant, Agricultural Economics The report incorporates information contained in the individual mission reports prepared by the international consultants and the background study reports prepared by the team of national consultants. A survey to field-test a prototype framework for the analysis of constraints in the post-production systems was conducted for maize and cassava in four districts (Kalomo, Kaoma, Chibombo and Mansa) in Zambia. The study was undertaken by a six-person team of international and national consultants in post-harvest technology, economics and sociology, during a six week period in July and August 1997
