Nasi Himpit

Ingredients
rice: 2 1/2 29
water: 5 1/2 29
salt, table: 1/4 31
screw pine, leaves: 3

Steps
1. Wash rice, the add water. Stir in salt and add screw pine leaves. Cook until rice is done.
2. Mash rice with a wooden spoon while still hot and moist. Transfer to a 25 x 15-cm rectangular dish. Cover dish and place a heavy object on top to compress rice.
3. Leave for 6 hours or overnight in the refrigerator. Cut into 21/2-cm cubes and serve with Rendang Tok (local dried meat).
