Sauteed Bananas

Ingredients
bananas: 4
lemon: 1 31
butter: 2 27
sugar: 2 27

Cooking Time (minutes): quick (30 minutes or less)
Steps
1. Melt butter or margarine in a large skillet. Add 4 whole bananas or halved lengthwise.
2. Cook over low heat, turning once, just until tender, 2 or 3 mn for halves, or 5 mn for whole bananas.
3. For dessert, add 1 tsp grated lemon or lime rind and 2 tsp juice, and 2 tbsp sugar. For bananas flambe : add 2 tbsp cognac to dessert bananas and ignite.
