The project approach is based on an integrated water resources assessment that includes water accounting, as well as water governance and water tenure assessment. Combined water accounting, water governance and water tenure assessment will help to understand hydrological, social, political, legal and economic factors and relationships, which underpin key challenges in water governance while also helping to identify key risks and opportunities to address them.
